Research

Research is the key to opening doors for any scientific advances. With appropriate funding, researchers hope that within 5 to 7 years, treatments that attack the disease process itself, not just the symptoms, will be available. Alzheimer Society researchers include some of the top scientists nationally and internationally.
The Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases (CRND) consistently breaks new ground in the prevention, treatment and cure for Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
Alzheimer Society researchers have shed light on critical bio-medical aspects of Alzheimer's disease. Their efforts have resulted in significant advances towards finding a cure and identifying significant quality of life improvements for those living with the disease and their families.
